Refugee Healthcare Providers (RHCP) is a legally registered, non-governmental organization headquartered in Kampala, Uganda. We are dedicated to providing accessible, compassionate, and comprehensive healthcare services for refugees and vulnerable communities across Uganda.
Our multi-disciplinary team works hand in hand with partners to bridge critical healthcare gaps, champion health equity, and foster resilience, hope, and empowerment among those we serve.
Founded in Kampala, Uganda, RHCP is registered with the NGO Bureau as a non-profit entity. Our approach is rooted in local leadership, partnership, and sustainable solutions responsive to the dynamic needs of refugees and vulnerable Ugandans.

Our Objectives
Our objectives encompass the full spectrum of healthcare needs within refugee communities. From primary care and emergency response to mental health support and community empowerment, we take a holistic approach that addresses both immediate needs and long-term sustainability.
- Comprehensive Healthcare: Deliver quality primary, preventive, and specialty healthcare through community-based clinics and outreach.
- Sexual & Reproductive Health: Provide family planning, maternal health, STI prevention, menstrual health, and education for all gender and age groups.
- Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS): Offer trauma healing, counseling, group therapy, and stress management for refugees and vulnerable communities.
- Health Education & Literacy: Empower communities with education on disease prevention, hygiene, nutrition, and public health.
- Advocacy & Rights: Actively promote and defend the health rights of refugees through policy engagement and awareness.
- Emergency & Humanitarian Care: Respond swiftly to epidemics, disasters, and urgent health needs among vulnerable groups.
- Empowerment & Training: Build workforce capacity by training refugee health workers, volunteers, and community leaders.
- Referral & Specialized Care: Ensure seamless access to advanced medical services and specialist care through robust referral networks.
- Humanitarian Support: Address basic needs, including sanitation, nutrition, and essential supplies as part of holistic care.
